The Turf Club has decided to reopen its investigation into the running of the Ted Walsh-trained Foxrock in a race at Punchestown last December.
It is reported that new video evidence has emerged that appears to contradict an account given by connections for the horse's third-place finish in the Weatherbys Ireland GSB Handicap Chase.
According to a report in The Irish Times, the stewards spoke to Walsh and jockey Adrian Heskin after the race - and also received a report from the Turf Club veterinary officer - stating that the horse had lost both front shoes during the race.
However, new video evidence, which was not available at the time, has emerged appearing to show the horse wearing both front shoes immediately after the race.
Walsh said: “Obviously they’re not happy with whatever happened on that day and they’re reopening the enquiry. I’ll be there at the enquiry to answer any questions they want.”
The reopened case will be heard on 2 April.
