Mouse Morris has challenged Real Steel and Dromnea to put it up to likely favourite Gilgamboa in Sunday's Flyingbolt Novice Chase at Navan.
Enda Bolger's Gilgamboa looked every inch a top-class chasing prospect when running out an impressive winner at Limerick over Christmas, but was brushed aside by the spectacular Un De Sceaux in the Arkle at Leopardstown last month.
Real Steel made a winning start to his chasing career at Naas in November and has since had three runs against some of the country’s top novices, most recently falling at the final fence when booked for second behind Vautour at Leopardstown.
Dromnea has won his last two starts at Limerick and Fairyhouse and steps up to Graded company for the first time.
Morris said: "They both have their chances, so we'll see what happens.
"Real Steel was running well the last day until he tipped up and I think he'll come on again for that.
"The other horse (Dromnea) is stepping up in class and we'll see if he can step up to the plate. There aren't many options for him."
