This afternoon's meeting at Catterick has been abandoned due to a frozen track.
Clerk of the course Fiona Needham was due to inspect conditions at 8am but a cold night has left the track frozen and covered in snow in places, forcing an earlier decision.
The track tweeted: "Unfortunately racing today is abandoned following a cold night with temperatures reaching minus 6C and only forecast to reach 3C today."
Meanwhile officials at Wetherby have called an inspection for 2pm today ahead of tomorrow's meeting.
The track is currently reported to be frozen in places with a light covering for snow after temperatures dropped lower than forecast overnight.
Clerk of the course Jonjo Sanderson said: "It's been a couple of degrees colder than forecast overnight at minus 3C.
"That temperature was around the buildings though, so in the exposed areas of the course, it's probably been more like minus 4C and the ground is bone hard, as they say, and the snow from yesterday hasn't moved either.
"The forecast is for a bright and sunny day with temperatures of around 4C or 5C but there's a windchill that they're saying will make it feel more like minus 4C so any warmth might really going to penetrate the ground.
"We will have a look and see if it is improving this afternoon. If it is moving that will give us an indication for tomorrow, but you also have to add into the equation what happens overnight and the forecast for a cloudy day tomorrow."
