The Mullins family have been synonymous with success this season and have a number of chances at Thurles at what will be a particularly poignant meeting following the passing of racecourse manager and owner Pierce Moloney.

First up is Tom Mullins' Elsie in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Rated Novice Chase, who takes a drop in class for this contest after finishing a distant second to Vroum Vroum Mag in a Grade Two last time.

Drumlee and Benrouge made the frame on their last starts and look the likeliest dangers.

Tom Mullins also saddles Indian Rupee in the Follow Us On Facebook Handicap Hurdle, as he bids to follow up a convincing success at Punchestown, and Run Hurricane also represents the Goresbridge handler in the Fethard Flat Race.

The latter has one from Tom's brother Willie's yard to contend with in Listen Dear, and the champion trainer has plenty of other chances on the card.

Totally Dominant lived up to his name in bumpers and though beaten on his hurdling debut at Punchestown, he is likely to be in the thick of things down in trip for the thurles.ie Maiden Hurdle.

Mullins also runs Vedettariat in the INH Stallion Owners EBF Maiden Hurdle, but he has improvement to find after struggling in bumpers last term, especially up against Jim Dreaper's Venitien De Mai.

A prolific winner between the flags, the six-year-old has filled the runner-up spot on both starts over timber and will surely be winning sooner rather than later.

The most lucrative race on the card is the Thurles Handicap Hurdle, which sees Shuilamach bidding to build on an emphatic success at Cork last time.

Paul Nolan's charge has a 7lb rise in the handicap to contend with, as well as recent placed runners Shamiran and Really Unique, who are sure to make this a stern test.

Nolan also runs Triplets Joy in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Beginners Chase, but she could find Cork second Our Katie too hot to handle.
