Ruby Walsh described Un De Sceaux as "a thrill a minute" ahead of his much-anticipated appearance in the Frank Ward Solicitors Arkle Novice Chase at Leopardstown on Sunday.

Unbeaten in seven starts over hurdles, the bold front-runner came to grief on his debut over fences at Thurles, but bounced back in some style at Fairyhouse last month.

"There's no secret to riding him, you know what he is going to do and everybody has to try to keep up," Walsh told Racing UK.

"I thought he was very good at Fairyhouse and very unlucky at Thurles.

"This is a huge step up and his stiffest task, but hopefully he's able to answer the questions.

"He's a thrill a minute and wears his heart on his sleeve. He attacks his jumps and he attacks the race.

"He's just exciting - he jumps out and he goes."

Un De Sceaux takes on two talented rivals on his Grade One debut, with Clarcam bidding to follow up his Christmas victory over course and distance and Gilgamboa also chasing a hat-trick over fences.
