Newbury winner Monetaire is likely to be seen next in the Caspian Caviar Gold Cup at Cheltenham on 13 December.
David Pipe's former French-trained gelding finished third on his debut for the yard at Cheltenham over two miles at the Paddy Power meeting when a couple of bad blunders cost him dearly.
He jumped much better last weekend, winning a decent handicap by over two lengths and a step up in trip is now on the horizon.
Monetaire has been raised 10lb for his weekend win by the handicapper
"Ex-French import Monetaire put in a clear round of jumping to confirm the promise of his debut third at Cheltenham and I would imagine that the December Gold Cup over two miles and five furlongs back at Cheltenham (in which we also have Ballynagour and Easter Meteor) in a couple of weeks' time could be his next stop," wrote Pipe on www.davidpipe.com.
"Talking of Ballynagour, he appeared not to get home in the Hennessy Gold Cup itself on Saturday and will drop back in trip on his next outing. He has traditionally improved from his first run of the season and I am sure you will see a different horse next time."
