Kalann could be supplemented for the Qipco British Champions Long Distance Cup at Ascot on 18 October.
The hardy seven-year-old stayer is in the frame for a trip to Ascot for Champions Day after he got to within a length and a half of Estimate in the Doncaster Cup.
Kalann was soundly beaten in a Listed race at the Curragh on Sunday, when third to Toe The Line, but trainer Sabrina Harty is convinced he was not fully fired up.
She said: "I did think he ran a bit flat at the Curragh and didn't gallop to the line like we know he can.
"I was happy enough, though, as it was a good, competitive race.
"We'll keep a close eye on him in the next few days, but he's such a tough horse that we could still supplement him for the two-mile race on Champions Day.
"He loves to travel."
