Leopardstown and the Lexus Chase on Saturday could be the ideal place to get Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Bobs Worth back on track, according to trainer Nicky Henderson.
The eight-year-old was sent off the 15-8 favourite for the Betfair Chase at Haydock last month, but never looked totally happy and beat just one other finisher.
However, Haydock is a flat track and could not be more different to Cheltenham, and while Leopardstown does not have the stiff hill of the Cotswolds venue, it does promise to play more to Bobs Worth's strengths.
Henderson said: "Barry (Geraghty) feels that it will be a good track for him. You haven't got the Cheltenham hill, but it is a track that should suit him. We have to do something as last year he went from winning the Hennessy to the Gold Cup.
"He had a disappointing run at Haydock, but the ground was terrible and it was a flat track, whereas Leopardstown is more a galloping track.
"Barry jumped five fences on him (last weekend) and we are all happy."
