Seabass is only likely to run in tomorrow's Follow Punchestown On Facebook Chase if there is sufficient overnight rain.
The beaten John Smith's Grand National favourite was due to have his prep race for a valuable French assignment next month at Auteuil.
The ground at Punchestown is currently good to firm and it would need to ease to enable Ted Walsh to run his stable star, who is due to be ridden by Ruby Walsh.
Owner Pat Glynn said: "He won't run at Punchestown unless it rains tonight.
"We're quite keen to run him as it looks the perfect race for him with France in mind but we won't risk him on quick ground.
"He's going to Auteuil on June 9 for a race over two miles and six furlongs (Prix Des Drags).
"The National was only his third run of the season so he's had a quiet campaign and it would be nice to give him a run before France, but unless it rains I can't see him running."
On official figures the Mouse Morris-trained Rathlin would be Seabass' biggest rival, while Jessica Harrington's Jetson is unexposed over fences.
