Premier Nursery Handicap to ignite second day at Listowel

The valuable Irish Stallion Farms EBF Premier Nursery Handicap gets the second day of the Listowel Festival off with a bang at 2.35, and features four last-time-out winners.

Count Of Limonade looks the pick of that quartet as Aidan O'Brien's colt followed up a Group Three third with victory at Killarney last time, but the main danger could be the maiden Ballyorban.

Ken Condon's charge stuck to his guns when second over a furlong shorter last time and the return to this mile trip could bring about further improvement.

Condon also has Jappeli in the Feale Handicap, though she may have her work cut out with the likes of Galway winner Consonance and Tipperary third Massimo Donny in the field.

The richest jumps race on the card is the ITBA Fillies Scheme Novice Hurdle, in which Chiltern Hills represents Willie Mullins.

The five-year-old was a fair third at Downpatrick last time and may benefit from the drop to the minimum trip, though Chasing Shadows and Four Wives are not going to make life easy.

Carlito Brigante was disappointing on his last outing over fences, but he gets the chance to put that record straight in the John F McGuire Novice Chase.

The high-class hurdler will have to be on his mettle, though, as Sweet My Lord impressed with a bloodless win at Tramore, while Pride Of The Artic goes in search of a hat-trick.

Mark Me Up just missed out under young pilot Andrew Ring at Cork and the duo bid to go one better in the Cashen Handicap Hurdle, though they face stiff opposition from the likes of Lady Samphire and Hevelius.

Calissa will be out to make it fourth time lucky in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden, while the Bank Of Ireland INH Flat Race could be between Forced Kin and Keith's Delight.
