John Dunlop's Times Up bounced back to form to win the Weatherbys Insurance Lonsdale Cup, with William Buick in the saddle.

The Arundel handler has endured a largely disappointing season to date and Times Up was an 11-1 chance having failed to make a serious impact on his last three starts.

Hot favourite Saddler's Rock set only a sedate gallop for much of the two-mile journey, but it was clear turning for home that he would struggle to hold off the challengers and he was soon swallowed up.

Godolphin pair Lost In The Moment and Cavalryman both travelled nicely into the race, as did Simenon and High Jinx.

But it was Times Up who finished best of all to grab the Group Two prize by two and a quarter lengths.

High Jinx and Lost In The Moment were second and third respectively.

Buick said: "He travelled so well, I got a nice lead and he's won very easily. It was just a case of not getting there too soon.

"He's come back to his best. All he does is travel and he's picked up very well. He's got quite a lot of speed for a stayer.

"He's surprised me and it's a very nice spare ride to get."
