The Saeed bin Suroor-trained colt is likely to meet Frankel on the Downs, as the world's best racehorse seeks back-to-back victories in the Group One highlight.
Farhh, who won the Thirsk Hunt Cup earlier in the season, had previously looked an unlucky loser in the Prince of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Godolphin racing manager Simon Crisford said: "Because of the timing of the Sussex, we thought we'd take our chance.
"He's in good form and as long as the ground is decent, we'll run. It's a sporting decision by Sheikh Mohammed."
