Fiorente gave Michael Stoute an incredible ninth victory in the Princess of Wales's Goldsmiths Stakes under Ryan Moore at Newmarket.
Sent off at 11-2 after Jakkalberry and Quest For Peace were declared non-runners, Fiorente had shown little this season but now looks back to his best.
With the field spread across the track, Harris Tweed tried to see them all off, kicking on some way out, but Red Cadeaux loomed up and went over to the far side looking the likely winner.
However, Moore's mount really picked up in fine style and with Joshua Tree for company, he strode out to win by two and three-quarter lengths with Red Cadeaux fading into third.
Moore said: "On his form this year he had to step forward, but he's always worked like a very good horse.
"I remember in the King Edward VII Stakes last year - if he knew his job he would have beaten Nathaniel that day. He's obviously a very high-class horse."
