Naas to stage rescheduled Brownstown Stakes

A third attempt to stage the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Brownstown Stakes will be made on Wednesday evening, with the Group Three contest switched from Fairyhouse's second cancelled meeting to Naas.

Of the five runners, After sets the standard because she ran well in the French and Irish 1000 Guineas before pressing Fire Lily in the Ballyogan Stakes.

The winner is absent from this race, but her trainer David Wachman is still represented by Singing Bird, who was a creditable fourth in a Leopardstown Group Three won by Alanza.

She was a couple of places behind Marvada on that occasion and Ken Condon's four-year-old heads the weights here, with Bulbul and Caprella completing the field.

Aidan O'Brien saddles Parliament Square in the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden (C & G), on the back of a close-up fifth in the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot.

The Ballydoyle handler has a trio of well-bred youngsters in the fillies' version, with Curragh sixth Where joined by newcomers Fascinate, a €200,000 yearling, and Magical Dream, who is out of Lockinge winner Red Evie.

Unanimous and Ahimsa are at the lower end of the scale when it comes to star quality at O'Brien's powerhouse yard, but will have their supporters for the RSA Supporting Enable Ireland Maiden and Site Serve Supporting Enable Ireland Handicap respectively.

The latter, however, locks horns with Custom Cut, who is in search of a hat-trick after victories at Cork and Down Royal.
