Joseph O'Brien is set to miss the Abu Dhabi Irish 2000 Guineas after picking up a four-day suspension at Chester.

The rider was found guilty of using his whip above the permitted level when finishing a narrow second aboard Betterbetterbetter, trained by his father Aidan, in the Weatherbys Bank Cheshire Oaks. O'Brien will be sidelined from 23-26 May inclusive, meaning he misses the first day of the Classic meeting at the Curragh. However he can appeal to the BHA for a delay.

Good Morning Star at odds of 50/1 was the surprise winner of the Oaks for trainer Mark Johnston.
