Don't Push It is likely to have another run over hurdles following an encouraging display on his reappearance at Cheltenham.

The 11-year-old's main objective this season is the John Smith's Grand National, which he won in 2010 and was third under top weight in April.

Connections of the Jonjo O'Neill-trained gelding were pleased with his performance when sixth to Dorset Square in a handicap hurdle over three miles, one and a half furlongs on Saturday.

"He ran nicely. There are no plans for him at the minute. We'll see how he is in a week or two and see how he comes out of it," said owner JP McManus' racing manager, Frank Berry.

"I'm sure there will be another hurdle race for him. The National is obviously the long-term target again."

Berry also reported Binocular on course for his first outing of the campaign in the Stanjames.com Fighting Fifth Hurdle at Newcastle on Saturday week.

The 2010 Champion Hurdle hero, trained by Nicky Henderson, had to miss this year's Cheltenham showpiece, but was third behind his successor Hurricane Fly in the Rabobank Champion Hurdle at Punchestown on his latest start in May.

"He's in great form and we're looking forward to him starting off in the Fighting Fifth," added Berry.
