Treasure Beach and Reliable Man, respective winners of the Irish and French Derby, are to clash in the Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris at Longchamp on Thursday evening.

The pair were among a field of seven declared for the Group One contest over a mile and a half.

While Treasure Beach's Classic success came over that distance, the Prix du Jockey Club won by Reliable Man at Chantilly is over an extended mile and a quarter these days.

The unbeaten Reliable Man is trainer Alain de Royer-Dupre's sole representative, but Aidan O'Brien also has Seville, runner-up to his stablemate Treasure Beach at the Curragh, and Marksmanship.

Andre Fabre has won this race a staggering 10 times and is double-handed with Kreem and Meandre.

Bubble Chic, second to Reliable Man in the Jockey Club and runner-up to subsequent Investec Derby victor Pour Moi before that, completes the line-up.
