White Moonstone will not run in the Qipco 1000 Guineas after having pulled up stiff in her work on Saturday morning.

Godolphin's unbeaten three-year-old filly has already been scratched from the second Classic of the season at Newmarket on May 1, and is now undergoing a veterinary investigation.

Winner of the Group One Fillies' Mile at Ascot last September, Saeed bin Suroor's inmate had been as low as 6-1 to claim Guineas glory.

Racing manager Simon Crisford told www.godolphin.com: ‘Unfortunately, White Moonstone is not right and we need to find the cause of the problem.

‘She definitely won't be able to run in the 1000 Guineas.’
