Pathfork will head straight for the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket on 30 April without a prep run.
Jessica Harrington's three-year-old enjoyed an unbeaten juvenile campaign, culminating with victory over subsequent Racing Post Trophy winner Casamento in the National Stakes at the Curragh.
The colt had been due to line up at the Breeders' Cup meeting at Churchill Downs for his American owners, but was forced to miss the event due to a minor setback.
Harrington hopes her charge will cross the Atlantic this year, however, and feels running him at this stage of the season would be a bad idea.
‘He's going to go straight to the Guineas and I'm very happy with him at the moment,’ said Harrington.
‘At the end of the day, he'll be turning up in America at the back-end of the season, all being well, and to give him a run now would be hard on him.
‘He's an American-bred horse and the faster the ground at Newmarket the better it will be for him.
‘When he beat Casamento the ground was soft and it probably caught him out a little bit in the last 50 yards.
‘We're there to be shot at but he did nothing wrong last year and we'll just keep him going.’
Harrington may also be represented in the 1000 Guineas, with Laughing Lashes a possible Newmarket runner.
She beat Misty For Me in last year's Debutante Stakes, but the latter reversed the form in the Group One Moyglare.
‘She's in good form but she would ideally like a bit of dig in the ground at Newmarket,’ Harrington continued.
‘So far she's on target for the Guineas. She seems very good and is doing plenty of work.
‘She comes to hand very quickly.
‘She's grown over the winter and she's a very big filly now.’
