Davy Russell expects to be out of action for about six weeks after breaking his left ankle in a fall at Listowel on Saturday.

The Cork-born jockey sustained the injury from Napa Starr in a fall at the third flight of the Croom House Stud Maiden Hurdle.

'I've been to see the specialist and the cast is going to be back on now for about five to six weeks,' he said.

'I've broken a bone in my ankle and I'll probably off about six weeks.'
