Luca Cumani's Fantasia put up a startling display to win the Leslie Harrison Memorial Nell Gwyn Stakes as she liked at Newmarket.
Beaten only once as a juvenile by current 1000 Guineas favourite Rainbow View in the Fillies' Mile at Ascot on her final start, she showed a rare turn of foot to win as the 4-5 favourite.
Bought by George Strawbridge in the winter, who also owns Rainbow View, Frankie Dettori knew all along how much horse he had underneath him as he sat last at halfway.
However, as he pulled the daughter of Sadler's Wells into the middle of the track she absolutely bolted clear of her rivals to beat Damaniyat Girl by a yawning seven lengths, and in truth there was only one horse in it.
