Jason Maguire was fortunate to escape serious injury after being taken to Friarage Hospital in Northallerton for precautionary X-rays following a fall at Catterick.

Maguire was unseated when his mount Ballabrook blundered at the third fence in the Book On-Line At catterickbridge.co.uk Maiden Chase, and was reported to be sore in his lower back.

However, he was later discharged and drove himself home after X-rays came back clear. He hopes to be able to ride at Lingfield tomorrow, where he has two booked rides.

Maguire has several fancied mounts at next week's Cheltenham Festival headed by the Donald McCain-trained Whiteoak, who holds entries in the Smurfit Kappa Champion Hurdle and the David Nicholson Mares' Hurdle on Tuesday. He partnered her to victory in the latter race last season.
