Action at Bellewstown starts at 4.15, but racegoers will have to wait until the concluding Hireall Marquees (QR) Race to see the best performer on show.

Bobs Pride probably isn't the force of old, but Dermot Weld deemed him good enough to contest the Champion Hurdle in March and he showed up for a long way in last month's Galway Hurdle.

He remains the one to to beat, but Truckers Delight scored at the Galway Festival and top-weight Ballet Boy is no forlorn hope either.

Quinmaster is a similar sort to Bobs Pride in that he is smart on the level in addition to being a Grade Three winner at the winter game.

He goes to post for the Tully Bookmakers 1800 200010 Hurdle and will play a leading role judging by his last-start second at Tipperary.

In Gay Sloane, though, he meets a hurdler very much on the upgrade and his Galway success was franked when runner-up Noble Crusader scored at Downpatrick on Monday.

Lucky Slipper was one place in front of the reopposing Coscorrig when third at Downpatrick and should confirm that superiority on better terms in the AIB. Balbriggan Handicap Hurdle.

Collingwood is another to consider, but all will struggle to contend with Alamiyan if he is on song.

Of those with experience in the Tally Ho Stud Auction Maiden, Lady Ruler appeals most, but she is exposed now and Ger Lyons' High Chaparral newcomer Highway To Hell is worth a second look.

The biggest prize of the day goes to the winner of the www.bellewstownraces.ie Handicap, which sees the Lyons-trained Invincible Joe go for a hat-trick.

Poppyfield landed this prize in 2006, while Peculiar Prince chased home The God Of Love 12 months ago, so both merit respect, as does Grand Opera, who has his first start for Gordon Elliott since ending his stint with the Howard Johnson team on a high at
Carlisle.
