Aidan O'Brien confirmed Duke Of Marmalade as an intended runner in the Juddmonte International at York on Tuesday.

The Ballydoyle handler expressed some doubt about the participation of his four-time Group One winner due to the heavy ground but connections have decided to run.

O'Brien told the Racing Post website: 'Conditions will be far from ideal for him, but the owners are prepared to let him take his chance.'

Michael Stoute will rely upon Rob Roy after recent Munich Group One winner Linngari was declared a non-runner due to the ground.
