Medicine Path (9-2) led home stablemate Don't Panic to provide Peter Chapple-Hyam with a one-two in the Listed Doncaster Mile.
The latter was all the rage after his Spring Mile romp here last month and the 6-4 favourite appeared to have sealed matters when edging on approaching the distance marker.
But his stablemate - having been transferred to Chapple-Hyam by owner John Fretwell last month - swept down the outside and nailed him by a cosy length, with the pair pulling two lengths clear of Babodana.
Chapple-Hyam said: 'It was very kind of John to send him to me and he isn't a great work horse at home.
'I hate running two in the same race and if you take the winner out then Don't Panic would have won impressively.
'He has improved since the Spring Mile and that was a career best for him. I think he is up to winning Group races.
'The winner will go for the Sandown Mile. Don't Panic could also ended up there or we might stick to Listed races for now.'
