Meade the man to follow at Gowran Park

Trebles for Noel Meade and Paul Carberry lit up proceedings as the pair firstly combined to capture two sections of the three way split-up maiden hurdle.

The Dotted Line got things rolling for the Meath duo, heading Siegemaster before the last and staying on well to have a length and a half in hand over that opponent at the finish.

The J P McManus owned Signatory drifted alarmingly in the market, but the son of Kris S defied the negative vibes to record a facile victory over Miss Aurelia.

Sunshine Guest exploited a favourable mark with a 14L demolition of the field for Carberry and Michael Grassick. She was well supported from 7/2 into 11/4 before the off.

That completed an approximate 84/1 three-timer for Carberry. Sister Nina stepped in to round off a memorable afternoon for the Carberry clan and for Meade in the bumper.

This well-bred Goldmar landed the bumper by 3/4L.

Jessica Harrington saddled another winner in the opener when the well-supported John's Eliza landed the odds under Andrew Leigh.

The Dr Massini mare made virtually all, having things
to herself in the straight and going on to beat Gold Sequin by 5 1/2L.

It was a quick reappearnce for John's Eliza who pulled up with a slipped saddle on Sunday. Favourite Scavenger made slight mistakes at the fourth and the sixth before finishing seventh.

Henry De Bromhead also has his string in good order and Chartani, backed from 14/1 into 10/1, comfortably took division one of the mares handicap hurdle in the hands of Michael Darcy.

The locals had something to cheer about in the beginners chase as the Sandra McCarthy owned and trained Eye Candy proved edged out Optimus Prime. David Casey was on the 8/1 winner.
