Tralee Preview - Day 2

The Guinness Gold Cup is the feature on day two of the five day Tralee Festival meeting, and Arc Bleu looks a worthy favourite for this mile and three quarters Premier Handicap.

The Tony Martin-trained gelding was confidently ridden to score over a mile and a half on testing ground at the Curragh on Derby day and, despite a hefty 13lb rise in the ratings, will be difficult to beat.

Galway Hurdle third Eagle's Pass, along with Lucky Heroine and Constantine, may provide the main threats among his nine rivals.

The Lansdowne Real Estate-sponsored 2m6f novice hurdle is the chief supporting race on a seven race mixed card that gets underway at 2.45.

Jadanli has played a big part in the recent success story of Craughwell trainer Paul Gilligan, and he showed a liking for heavy ground at Sligo last time.

Pittori has been unlucky to come up against Elletelle and Lisvale when runner-up on both outings todate, and should go one better in the opening mile juvenile maiden.
