Jane Chapple-Hyam is keeping a careful eye on the weather ahead of Mudawin's planned outing at Newmarket on Saturday.
The six-year-old, winner of last year's totesport Ebor, is set to step back up in trip in the betdirect.com Stakes over a mile and six furlongs.
Mudawin will be reunited with regular jockey John Egan - who was unable to ride him on his last start - but Chapple-Hyam hopes conditions do not get too testing at Newmarket.
Chapple-Hyam said: 'Mudawin is in good order, stepping back up to his true trip of one mile, six. But I would not want any more rain before Saturday.
'It is good to have John Egan back in the saddle. He really knows the horse and gets on with him so well. We want to be there in the shake-up on Saturday. '
