Papal faith will be repaid says Winston

Robert Winston believes Papal Bull will eventually repay his owners' faith in him - despite finishing down the field in the Vodafone Derby.

The Coolmore operation supplemented Sir Michael Stoute's colt to the tune #75,000 for the premier Classic at Epsom on Saturday.

Stoute's Chester Vase winner, sent off an 11-1 chance, actually made good progress under Winston three furlongs from home but was hampered by Linda's Lad two out and came home 10th from brilliant winner Sir Percy.

"It's a race where you always need a bit of luck but it's just unfortunate we didn't get the rub of the green," Winston told At The Races.

"But this little horse will repay his connections down the line.

"He's a tough little horse and there's a really nice race in him - he's a horse with bags of ability and plenty of potential."
