Noel Meade's Royal & SunAlliance Chase hope Afistfullofdollars faces a lengthy lay-off after cracking his pelvis.
The seven-year-old was as low as 25-1 with William Hill for the Cheltenham Festival event after coming home an easy eight-length winner on his chasing bow at Down Royal last month.
Meade said: "I'm sorry to say he's cracked a pelvis in schooling and he's going to be out for at least a couple of months.
"It's a great shame because he's an exciting horse but, hopefully, he will be back before long."
