It's a case of five days down and two to go at Listowel on Friday where the presence of Hector's horse, Travese in the first race is the the main reason to make the start time of 2.30pm.
Trained by Pat Flynn, Traverse races from a rating of 50 here, 1lb higher than when third at Down Royal earlier this month. The gelding has a genuine chance of winning although he does face in-form opponents.
Tom Hogan's Commoya was a comfortable winner here on Tuesday and carries a fixed 5lb penalty.
A reproduction of that run would put him bang in contention while Senor Benny, runner-up in that race, is another with a chance, racing from an unchanged rating.
The €25,000 Southampton Goodwill Chase has attracted only three runners but is still a tough one to call. Takagi (rated 144), Risk Accessor (147) and Davids Lad (137) are very closely matched at these weights.
Plenty will side for the outsider of the three runners but finding an outsider may prove as difficult as picking the winner. A chance is taken with Risk Accessor, a gallant runner-up in the Galway Plate, under top weight.
Dessie Hughes' Central Arch can win the concluding bumper if reproducing her best form last Winter.
