Culloty enjoys himself in Bumper

A winning end for the Irish on the second day of the Cheltenham Festival as Total Enjoyment took the Weatherbys Champion Bumper in the hands of Jim Culloty.

The Kerryman who partners hot favourite Best Mate in the totesport Gold Cup, sent Total Enjoyment clear of her rivals on the turn for home to strike for trainer Thomas Cooper.

The five-year-old (7-1) stormed up the hill to win from Refinement, also 7-1, with 50-1 outsider Master Albert third.

Cooper, who has held a licence since 1998 and is based in Tralee, said: "I knew she was good from an early age. When she gets on the track she just comes alive. She is so focused. I've had some good horses, but nothing like this. That will be it for the season."
