Tap Dance City wins Japan Cup

The Japanese-trained Tap Dance City made all the running to win the Japan Cup in tremendous style in Tokyo today. The 6yo, ridden by Tetsuzo Sato, romped home by 9L from That's The Plenty with favourite Symboli Kris S a further }L back in third.

The sole English raider Islington was only ninth of the 18 runners behind the 12.8-1 winner. Kieren Fallon had Islington in the first six for most of the race but she had nothing to give in the home straight and was beaten by thirteen lenghts.
