O'Neill's Prince hopes to rule supreme in Greatwood

Hasty Prince, who was so impressive when winning at Chepstow last Saturday, is among 24 confirmations for the Greatwood Hurdle at Cheltenham on Sunday.

Jonjo O'Neill's five-year-old won the Tote Silver Trophy much easier than the official margin of five lengths suggests and picked up a 6lb penalty in the process.

Hasty Prince had been allotted 9st 1lb but is now on 10st 8lb for the £50,000 handicap after the weights went up 15lb following today's acceptance stage.

Westender, winner of the corresponding race two years ago, has been left on top weight of 11st 12lb following the defection of Rooster Booster, Rhinestone Cowboy and Flame Creek.

Westender is one of seven confirmed by champion trainer Martin Pipe, the others being Mr Cool, Well Chief, Visibility, Gone Far, The Baker and Vanormix.

Well Chief incurred a 6lb penalty for his victory at Wincanton last Saturday to bring his weight up to 11st 1lb.
