Last Sunday's Darley Irish Oaks winner Vintage Tipple has been added to the €1 million Ireland the Food Island Champion Stakes field. The 1m2f event pits the best of the classic generation against top older horses and 84 year old trainer Paddy Mullins will be hoping his filly can chalk up a win for the misfiring three-year-olds in early September.
Also added to the list were Goffs International Stakes victor Sea Dart and recent Fairyhouse winner Alisar, both John Oxx inmates, and French trainer Elie Lellouche's Bright Sky, second behind Falbrav in the Prix D'Ishapan at Longchamp.
Leopardstown General Manager Matt O'Dwyer said: "We are delighted with the interest in the Champion Stakes. 77 horses remain in the race at this stage which is an increase on 2002 which clearly demonstrates that the race is continuing to grow in stature year on year."
