Lynch appeals seven-day ban

Fergal Lynch has lodged an appeal against the seven-day suspension he picked up for dropping his hands on Navado and being caught for third place by Night Sight in the `Home Of Sunday Racing' Stakes at Doncaster on Sunday.

Lynch, who was furious at the stewards' decision, said at Hamilton today: Ihave to appeal and it will be heard at the Jockey Club at 10 o'clock on Thursday morning.

"I will travel down after Catterick tomorrow. They said I dropped my hands, but I did not. I dropped a rein and I was bending down to pick it up - it is a bad situation when you get seven days for that."
