Tuesday's Laytown card will feature no races longer than seven furlongs due to adverse weather conditions at the Co Meath venue, which holds a meeting on the beach once a year.
Turf Club spokesman Cliff Noone said: 'All races of one mile or more have been abandoned.' The cancellation of the longer races has been forced by a stream forming on part of the seaside venue's track. A six-race card will, however, be run with the shorter races over six and seven furlongs being divided as necessary.
