Ad Hoc repeated his win of two years ago to claim the attheraces Gold Cup at Sandown Park. Paul Nicholls' inmate was a disappointnment in the Martell Grand National but came right back to his best here in no uncertain terms.
He travelled well throughout for Ruby Walsh before making his move for glory at the Pond Fence. He settled the issure in a couple of strides after that and roared clear of his rivals in the closing stages.
The 7/1 chance had nine lengths in hand at the post with 9/2 favourite Stormez staying on from a mile back to take second. Gunther McBride (7/1) and Frosty Canyon (9/1) filled the remaining places.
