A total of 19 runners will go to post for the Gala Casinos Daily Record Scottish Grand National at Ayr tomorrow. They are headed by Shotgun Willy, who bids to go one better than last year when he finished a half-length runner-up to Take Control in the four miles, one furlong marathon.
But Paul Nicholls' charge, pulled up after the 21st fence in last week's Martell Cognac Grand National, meets his Martin Pipe-trained victor on 10lb worse terms. Last year's third and current favourite Gunther McBride, who is now 5lb better off, also takes his chance
