Shotgun Willy was today confirmed on course for the Gala Casinos Daily Record Scottish Grand National by trainer Paul Nicholls.
The nine-year-old was pulled when sent off favourite for last Saturday's Martell Cognac Grand National and jockey Ruby Walsh had thought the gelding had burst a blood vessel. However, that was not the case and he is none the worse for his Aintree exertions.
Nicholls' smart two-miler Kadarann runs in the Hillhouse Quarry Handicap Chase tomorrow before running in the Gala Casinos Daily Record Handicap Chase the following day.
