First Gold remains in attheraces field

First Gold is among 55 horses left in the attheraces Gold Cup at Sandown Park on April 26. The 10-year-old does not incur a penalty for his recent Aintree win and is set to carry 11st 1lb after the weights rose 2lbs at today's forfeit stage. They are now headed by Hussard Collonges on 11st 12lbs following the defection of See More Business and Behrajan.

There are six Irish raiders left in including Harbour Pilot, who was third to Best Mate in the Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup. Davids Lad remains a possible following his 42-day ban which prevented him from running in the Martell Cognac Grand National. Other Irish entries are Foxchapel King, The Bunny Boiler, Hedgehunter and Wotsitoya.
