Hold That Tiger delighted trainer Aidan O'Brien on Sunday and remains on course to tackle the Sagitta 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket next month.
The Storm Cat colt travelled a mile with Twentytwoandchange in the hands of Michael Kinane after racing at the Curragh and quickly went by his lead horse well over a furlong out with his jockey happy to let him stride on in his hands.
'Michael was happy with the horse,' O'Brien said. 'He needed to be away today. He's naturally big and strong and won't be away again before the Guineas.'
Hold That Tiger also shot to prominence for the Kentucky Derby after an eye-catching third in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile last season but O'Brien said: 'We'll see where he goes in the first weekend in May but the Guineas looks a more realistic target at the moment. If we don't go to the Kentucky Derby we can always go to America later on.'
