Davids Lad hearing is adjourned.

The Davids Lad affair took another turn his afternoon when the Turf Club's proceedings to have last Thursday's court stay lifted and the horse's 42-day ban reinstated were adjourned at the High Court. The case will resume at 10am tomorrow.

Trainer Tony Martin is hoping the decision goes his way as he plans to run Davids Lad in the Mildmay Of Flete Handicap Chase at Cheltenham on Wednesday.

The leading Irish fancy for the Martell Cognac Grand National was ruled out of Aintree when the Turf Club's Appeals & Referrals Committee rejected appeals from the connections and confirmed the ban imposed by the Naas stewards for using the racecourse as a training ground on February 23.

The nine-year-old's four owners then successfully made an ex-parte application to the High Court for a stay on the decision. However the Turf Club was left free to apply for an order to have the stay overturned.
