Martin to appeal Davids ban

Connections of Davids Lad will appeal the 42-day ban imposed on the gelding by the Naas stewards on Sunday. Should it stand, the suspension would rule Davids Lad out of both the Cheltenham Festival and the Martell Cognac Grand National, for which he was the 14-1 second favourite in the ante-post market.
