The first of two days of racing at Punchestown gets underway on Saturday when the opening Red Bog Hurdle could throw up the bet of the day in the shape of Kenilworth, who ran a fine race when second to Mutineer here two weeks ago.
Back Nine was quietly fancied when winning on the flat at Navan and he can now score over flights for Arthur Moore in the Lime Hill Maiden Hurdle. Moore should also have the winning of the 2m4f beginners chase with Native Jack who chased home the promising Hi Cloy over hurdles at Leopardstown last time.
Christy Roche may enjoy a double of his own as Spokesman has every chance in the 2m handicap chase while newcomer Like A Bird could be up to winning the mares bumper.
