Masteroffoxhounds looks bet of the day

Racing moves north of the border for the first time this year and Down Royal offers a seven race card beginning at 1.30. Princess Symphony ran out an easy winner at the Limerick Christmas meeting and she looks set to follow up in the Tattersalls EBF Mares Novice Chase. Not too many will count in this contest and the biggest threat to the selection will surely come from the experienced African Waters.

Masteroffoxhounds is the recent winner of two bumpers and is an interesting runner in the opening maiden hurdle. David Wachman's smart performer should prove difficult to beat and is certainly the bet of the day. Howaya Pet is a consistent performer and should get off the mark over hurdles in the EBF Mares Maiden Hurdle.

Craughwell Aris did not go unbacked when fourth at Leopardstown on Sunday and could be up to winning the 2m2f Handicap Hurdle for man-of-the-moment Tony Martin. Brownie Returns was a winner at Folkestone in early December and he can defy top-weight in the 3m Handicap Chase.
