Irish challenger Irresistible Jewel has been given an inside draw in stall four for the 22nd running of the Japan Cup in Nakayama on Sunday.
Golan, who finished sixth to Jungle Pocket last year, has been drawn alongside Dermot Weld's Ribblesdale Stakes-winning filly in stall three. Of the other European representatives, Storming Home, has a wide draw in 14, Bright Sky is in stall 12 and the Italian runner Falbrav will start from stall one.
Jungle Pocket is back to defend his crown, but has not raced since the spring when second in the Emperor's Cup.
