The Dermot Weld-trained Final Exam heads the weights on 9st 6lb for Saturday's Tote Ayr Gold Cup. Ante-post favourite Halmahera was also among the list of 130 acceptors for the £100,000 event which has a safety limit of 29 runners.
Croeso Croeso, Impressive Flight, Injaaz, Bond Boy and Capricho all stood their ground at today's acceptance stage but Amanda Perrett's Polar Way, winner of the Group Three Boland Stakes at the Curragh on Saturday, has been pulled out of the six-furlong handicap as has the Gerard Butler-trained Compton Banker.
Final declarations for the race must be made by 10am on Thursday morning. The first 29 eliminated could gain some quick compensation by running in the consolation race, the Tote (Ayr) Silver Cup on the Friday.
