Loder duo head Champagne line-up

A total of 18 horses have been confirmed today for the £120,000 Rothmans Royals Champagne Stakes at Doncaster on Friday. They include Almushahar and Dublin, both from David Loder's stable, who were added at the supplementary stage yesterday.

Almushahar, who is owned by Hamdan Al Maktoum, was the winner of a Newmarket maiden on his racecourse debut and would be stepping up in class for this prestigious Group Two event. Sheikh Mohammed's Dublin is already a three time winner this season, taking two minor events before stepping up last time to win the Group Three Champagne Victor Vintage Stakes at Glorious Goodwood.

Loder took the prize 12 months ago with Dubai Destination, who gained a famous victory over the Aidan O'Brien-trained Rock Of Gibraltar. However, the Irish trainer has taken out all of his 10 remaining entries.
