Richard Hannon landed a big race one-two with Reel Buddy and Umistim occupying top honours in the Group Three Stan James Hungerford Stakes. The former swept into the lead around two furlongs from home after last year's Hungerford winner Atavus cut out all the early running.
Reel Buddy and Richard Quinn kicked clear but Umistim and Dane O'Neill burst out of the pack to challenge in the closing stages but Reel Buddy, sent off at 7-2 just held on in a thrilling finish.
